The pianist Rita Marcotulli has put together a superband for this project-tribute to Pink Floyd "Us and them", which includes a quartet formed by Andy Sheppard to the sax, Giovanni Tommaso to the double bass and Alfredo Golino on drums, which were added instruments and musicians less tied to jazz, as percussions and electronics sounds of Michele Rabbia , the electric guitar by Fausto Mesolella ( Avion Travel ), the electric bass by Mattew Garrison ( Pino Daniele 's bassist) and the voice of Raiz (ex Almamegretta ) . The result is amazing: the arrangements can diversify and give to the songs a personal and original wealth and unexpected points of escape (often culminating in solos of a relly inspired Andy Sheppard, optimally exploited by the work of Rita Marcotulli).
